Experience: Dr. Dorf has 25+ years of Pulmonary Critical Care experience. He is one of the few pulmonologists in New Mexico offering bronchial thermoplasty, an innovative procedure developed for the treatment of severe persistent asthma. He also currently serves as medical director for the Intensive Care Unit and Respiratory Therapy department at Lovelace Women’s Hospital.
Dr. Dorf is a driving force in Pulmonary medicine. He is a principal investigator in several local research studies and has been involved in research for many years. Dr. Dorf was named Clinician of the Year in 2010 by the New Mexico Thoracic Society and was recently named as the Top Doc in Pulmonology by Albuquerque The Magazine.
Dr. Dorf moved to Albuquerque in 2002, bringing a wealth of experience in pulmonary and critical care medicine. Dr. Dorf currently sees patients in the pulmonary clinic setting as well as the critical care setting in the local Albuquerque hospitals.
Personal Interests: Dr. Dorf is married with one son. In his spare time he enjoys cycling, gardening, and traveling. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
