The Gallery With A Cause is again delighted and honored to be able to offer this special exhibit of 20 historic New Mexico photographs by Joseph E. Smith, with digital photo restoration by A. Leon Miler. Joseph Smith operated his commercial photographic studio until 1895, and continued taking photographs throughout Socorro and the surrounding area. His life’s work consists of more than 3,000 glass-plate and film negatives. All of the photos in this exhibit are available for purchase. The home where Joseph Smith lived and worked is being preserved as the J.E. Smith Museum and Gallery in Socorro, NM. A. Leon Miler's Bio, and a detailed bibliography of Joseph E. Smith works, are provided here.
The Horned Toad Print Exchange
A collection of 53 small works by printmakers from all over the world, organized by Manuel Guerra, a print professor at UTEP in El Paso, with the help of art patron and printmaking enthusiast Karl Whiteaker. These pieces are not for sale, but a catalog of all the works is available for sale. Learn more about this here.
