I have recently completed my Master’s in Social Work. My hope is to combine Social Work with art as a means of expression for the clients I work with. My background is in Art Education and Fine Arts as I have a passion for art and can see how it can be healing for some people. I continue to make art for my own personal expression and hope to share that with others.
Painting is a therapeutic process for me and I love bold colors as a way to express myself. I worked on these paintings for several years, sometimes setting them aside for a few years, then picking them back up and painting some more. Painting has been a part of my recovery and spiritual healing. In these paintings I have begun developing a sense of personal freedom. They are abstract in nature and have design elements throughout that represent the movement of life, growth, and change.
