I was born in Los Angeles, CA and grew up in Florida. I started painting early—in middle school I was already taking lessons from professional studio artists. In high school, I began taking classes at Ringling College of Art and Design (Sarasota, Fl). I received a Bachelor Fine Art from the University of Florida, and a Masters in Communication from Mercer University, Georgia. In my career I am an award-winning artist (Society for Communications Professional as well as in numerous art shows.
I create abstract modular art in acrylic and resin, mounted on hand-painted cradled wood panels. In my work, I use varied and complex mark-making techniques and tools to create interesting and harmonious visual experiences. My approach is based on both my formal art training as well as my career as a Graphic Designer as well as an acute observation of details and spacial relationships.
