Eason is a painter, avid collector and writer with a passion for cactus, Navajo and Pueblo jewelry, tribal art, and glass. If you have an interest in southwestern art with a distinctive new flair, the work of Eason Eige will definitely draw you in.

Painting has always been a process in pursuit of better results. From the beginning, I have always worked in series to achieve a body of work worth seeing. You just learn more about painting when you work in series. Ideas flow from one image to next, often resulting in discovery of new techniques.

Born and raised in Iowa, Eason Eige was educated in Painting, Drawing, Printmaking and Art History at the Kansas City Art Institute – Parsons and Winterthur. For twenty-one years he was chief curator of the Huntington Museum of Art, West Virginia.

Eason began painting again in 2004 after 30 years of his busy museum profession.
