Experience & Interests:  Dr. Adair received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Georgetown University in 1969 and his PhD in Physiology from Emory University in 1974. Subsequently, he completed postdoctoral fellowships in Biomedical Engineering at John Hopkins University and Pharmacology at Georgetown University Schools of Medicine. After completing medical training, he served as faculty at the University of South Alabama until moving to New Mexico.

Since 2004, Dr. Adair has been involved in research involving thrombosis prevention and treatment, patient safety initiatives at both Presbyterian Hospital and the VA Hospital in Albuquerque, and teaching regarding proper use, efficacy and safety of newer anticoagulants.
